Oil seals Type AS

DIN 3760 Type AS seals are designed with a main sealing lip and an auxiliary lip or dust lip, providing additional protection against external contamination. Thanks to their full elastomer coating, they guarantee excellent sealing and are suitable for housings with slight surface imperfections, ensuring an optimum fit and minimising the risk of leakage.

This type of seal is particularly suitable for applications in dusty, dirty or damp environments, where the extra protection of the secondary lip helps to extend the service life of the sealing system. Within the AS range, there are different variants depending on the configuration of the outer coating, including standard (TC), reinforced (TF), grooved (TG) or injection moulded (TO). In addition, some models incorporate grooves on the sealing lip with a specific direction of rotation: 'L' for left-hand rotation, 'R' for right-hand rotation and 'W' for bi-directional applications.
