RANGE OF WAVE SPRINGS ROTOR CLIP, OFFICIAL DISTRIBUTOR OSN
Since 2009, OSN is proud to be the official distributor of the complete range of wave springs from the renowned Rotor Clip brand. These products, designed and manufactured in state-of-the-art plants in the USA and Europe, meet the highest standards of quality, innovation and performance.
What are wave springs?
Rotor Clip wave springs are compact and efficient elements designed for applications requiring high performance in confined spaces. They are manufactured from flat or round wire, to which corrugations are added to generate a spring effect. Their main advantages include:
- Space savingThey occupy up to 50% less working height than traditional coil springs.
- Force optimisationThey offer consistent forces over a wide range of deflections, with precise axial transmission.
- Longer service lifeWear is reduced due to a design that eliminates unwanted twisting and radial loads.
Types of wave springs Rotor Clip
- Single-Turn Wave Springs:
- Designed for applications with limited radial space and clear bass.
- Ideal for light to heavy duty applications.
- Featured series:
- SST and MSTFor short deflections and low to medium forces.
- NSTAdapted to narrow radial dimensions.
- SRT: Manufactured from round wire, they offer high load accuracy and reduced radial clearance.
- Multi-Turn Wave Springs (Multi-Turn):
- Recommended for medium and heavy applications with high load capacities.
- They replace coil springs or disc stacks, offering a more compact and efficient design.
- Available in standard metric and inch versions:
- WSL (Light): Ideal for low force, high deflection applications; sizes 0.25-2 inches.
- WSM (Media): For moderate forces and medium deflections; sizes 0.25-2 inches.
- WSR (Heavy): Designed for high loads and low deflections; sizes 0.25-2 inches.
- MWL (Light): Suitable for low force and high deflection applications; available in sizes from 5 to 60 mm.
- MWM (Media): Designed for moderate forces and medium deflections; available in sizes from 5 to 60 mm.
- MWR (Heavy): Ideal for high loads and low deflections; available in sizes from 5 to 60 mm.
- Nested Wave Springs (Nested Wave Springs)
- These are multi-turn springs in which each turn is wound in parallel, generating up to three times the force of a single-turn spring. This configuration allows them to handle higher loads, take up less radial space and offer greater travel compared to alternatives such as disc springs. They also simplify assembly by eliminating the need to stack multiple components, optimising both design and assembly efficiency.
Materials and finishes
Rotor Clip offers wave springs in a variety of standard and special materials, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, Inconel, and others, designed to withstand extreme temperatures, severe mechanical loads, and corrosive environments. Finishes include passivation, oil bath and application specific coatings.
Common applications
Rotor Clip wave springs are essential in sectors such as automotive, industrial machinery, electronics and medical equipment, with applications including motors, bearings, mechanical seals, fluid connectors and precision tooling.
